seen the picture of Hermitage Museum , Russia but probably you do not have any
idea about the museum.
Hermitage museum is
a fabulous place of Russia which is located on Saint Petersburg .It is called
the world’s second largest Museum based on some exceptional criteria. It is
also known as winter palace.
It was the early eighteenth century the Peter the Great decided to look
the emperor capital to a new city away from Mosko .So that is why Saint
Petersburg has so many Canals. He constructed so many buildings that were very
popular that time. Still now the winter palace is also very popular with the
same appealing .
While you will visiting the Hermitage Museum before entering
the museum you must see the lots of canal and specially the canal Moyka .After checking the map I started walking
along with Moyka kanal .What an amazing city ! I was walking southern that day .While
crossing a bridge over the canal there were two lions with their mourns .It
usually attracts everyone .There is a
big street .It is very cheerful matter that the roads and the canal is very
clean .Every morning the canal is being cleaned by the people of boatman who
are trained oceanography .It is only done for the enhancement of the city Saint
Petersburg .You can see various boat ,launce and waterbus in the canal in the
water that are usually used to transport or travelling purpose .
To go to the Museum , you have to pass the very busy road .people
are used to cross the road on foot and there is no foot over bridge .Here is
only a zebra crossing .After crossing the road it will be first comes to your
eyes there are very big walls with a main gate covered with the museum .It is
really large and quite impressive .There is a huge complex will be seen and stand behind a
heavy pillar .Between the museum complex
and the main gate there is a long distance .While going will be coming into a square. A lot of
crowed one will be seen in front of the palace. Entering the palace I thought
that it could be the palace square .Yes , this is palace square. The center
about Saint Petersburg .This building here is the Winter palace .Building
middle of the eighteenth century .Today it is the home state Hermitage Museum . 
For what it is so much popular you may ask ?
The museum has the finest art collection in the world .The
building has itself gorgeously were made .When I was entering the museum, I could
see a lot o people there .Those peoples are waiting up for the museum is opened
.The day was very shinny but yet the entrance line was long. It is called the second largest museum of the world. It was founded in 1764 when Empress Catherine the Great acquired an impressive collection of paintings from the Berlin merchant Johann Ernst Gotzkowsky. The museum celebrates the anniversary of its founding each year on 7 December, Saint Cathrine’s Day .It has been open to the public since 1852 .
Time to get there
The hermitage is open from 10.30 am to 6 pm, also until 9 pm
on Wednesday and Friday. It is only closed on Mondays. If you want to see the
whole content of the museum try to arrive as early as possible. Because both to
beat the crowed whenever it is visit.

The whole collections of the museum occupy a large complex
of six historic buildings along Palace Embankment , including the Winter Palace
,a former residence of Russian emperors . Apart from them , the Menshivok
Palace ,museum of porcelain, Storage facility at Staraya Dervenya , and the
eastern wing of the General Stuff Building are also part of the museum .The
museum has several exhibition centers abroad .

Hermitage is a federal state property .Since July 1992, of
the six buildings in the main museum complex, five namely the Winter Palace,
Small Hermitage, Old Hermitage, New Hermitage, and Hermitage Theatre- are open
to the public .It has done by the director of the museum Mikhail Piotrovsky.

If you really
want to visit the museum you can save some time by purchasing your entrance
ticket in advance. Admission is free on the first Thursday of every month and
on December 7.
Visit to the
Diamond Room and Gold Room in the Treasure Gallery are by guided tour only. The
Hermitage Museum is wheelchair accessible and wheelchair rentals are also
available.
The Hermitage
